When you apply for the Working Families Tax Credit, you may choose to receive your refund via direct deposit. If you do not provide your banking information, a check will be mailed to the mailing address you provide on your application.
Banking information
When completing your WFTC application, select “Direct Deposit” if you would like your refund to be deposited directly into your bank account. Be sure both your routing number and account number are clearly written and accurate.

If you don’t have a check handy, you can also find your routing and/or account number in the following places:
- Your bank statement.
- Your bank’s website or mobile app.
- Through your bank’s phone customer service.
- The American Bankers Association’s routing number lookup (routing number only).
Be sure to double check the banking information you enter. The Department of Revenue is not responsible for a lost payment if you enter the wrong account information.
