When completing the WFTC application, if an applicant indicated that they do itemize their federal tax return, DOR will mail a 1099-MISC to the applicant providing information about the credit amount received.
What is a 1099-MISC?
The 1099-MISC is a tax form for Certain Government Payments. DOR sends 1099-MISC forms for to WFTC credit recipients who indicate that they itemize their federal taxes.
You may need to report your WFTC refund on your next year’s federal tax return as an offset to an itemized deduction. Contact the IRS for tax-reporting obligations.
